The Indianapolis Industrial Center announced today that the first phase of rail improvements for 2015 have been completed. Over 500 feet of rail on two spurs have been improved to Class 1 standards for rail service creating four rail car positions between the two lines. First receipts on these new lines are scheduled to take place later this month.
The active partnership between CSX and the Indianapolis Industrial Center has been further enhanced by this expansion, which will allow more rail freight to flow through the Center’s four-warehouse complex on Indy’s southeast side. Additional improvements are scheduled on another line in the park that will service 3 car positions.
