Intermodal Service On Track for July

News

Tom Hoback, Founder and CEO of The Indiana Rail Road (INRD)affirmed this morning that the scheduled opening of their inter-modal ramp is on track for opening in early July. The inter-modal facility is the result of a joint venture between the INRD and the Canadian National Railroad (CN) to provide service from Canadian ports directly to Indianapolis. This new facility is anticipated to save shippers substantial time and money.

The Indianapolis Industrial Center is ideally positioned to assist international rail customers. With six service spurs and an “Open Switch” status with the INRD, CSX and Norfolk-Southern Rail Roads, the Center can accommodate the trans-load and distribution needs of most customers. Interior bridge cranes allow for lifting potential up to 25 tons.
