CSX Accesses New Rail Lines

News

Yesterday, CSX’s Hawthorne Yard service team delivered the first two rail cars across the newly completed rail spurs at the Indianapolis Industrial Center (IIC). These deliveries mark the beginning of higher frequency rail deliveries processed through the Center.

Partnering with the Shipper, Consignee and the IIC, CSX has facilitated the expansion of commerce in Indianapolis and the Central Indiana region. The Indianapolis Industrial Center would like to thank CSX for their guidance on technical and safety matters as the project advanced through its various design and construction stages.

About the Indianapolis Industrial Center: The IIC offers 182,000 square feet of distribution space in four rail-served warehouses conveniently located near I-65 and within a few miles of connection with all of Central Indiana’s major highways. Special facility features include: high-bay warehouses, interior bridge cranes, indoor rail sidings, grade level access, yard storage, and I-4-U zoning.
